Class of 2028: We can’t wait to meet you!

Admissions, General

A warm Waconian welcome to the Class of 2028!

There’s no question that the past 12 months has presented an incredibly challenging time; adapting to new ways of learning is one thing, but doing so whilst thinking about starting secondary school in September 2021 is something else!

That’s why we’ve created this page – especially for families considering to CHooSe to begin their Senior School journey at CHS in Year 7.

This is where you’ll be able to find out more information about the School, hear current pupils and teachers share their own thoughts on what makes CHS special and the exciting things that await those donning their green blazers this September as the Class of 2028!

NEW FOR SEPTEMBER 2021:

The Waconian Diploma

We’re excited to announce that beginning September 2021, pupils at CHS will be able to take part in The Waconian Diploma. It is bespoke to CHS and will recognise everything a CHS pupil participates in outside their timetabled lessons.

There will be two levels – Foundation and Excellence. All pupils in the Lower School will have the opportunity to achieve at least the Foundation Level by the end of Year 8, and many will strive to gain the Excellence Award. There will also be a Distinction Award for a small number of students who excel in the Diploma.

The diploma celebrates pupil involvement with each of the school’s three pillars – Academic, Altruistic and Active. At the start of Year 7, pupils will receive information regarding a range of different opportunities available so they can plan and log their progress.

When self-reflecting, pupils will be encouraged to align their activity to at least one of the School’s five Waconian Valuesintegrity, resilience, contribution, compassion and endeavour.

Each pupil will be involved with activities across all three pillars and demonstrating all the Waconian Values.

We’re certain that pupils, parents and staff will view the Diploma as a fantastic addition to the Lower School curriculum.

In the meantime…

We look forward to welcoming you to the One CHS Community
